Dancing Kids Children learn basic tap dance and ballet movements, locomotor skills, and creative movement through the use of fun, catchy songs that help them to remember dance terminology. When your child joins the academy, you are issued with a password for our BACKSTAGE area on the website. When it comes to parents – We understand what you need. When children are happy inside, they make very confident performers and we can’t ask for more than that…these results speak for themselves! Musicality Academy has received numerous nominations and awards including our productions of ‘West Side Story’, ‘Copacabana’, ‘Alice the Musical’, ‘The Addams Family’ (Won Best Production (District) Wales & Ireland 2015), ‘Oliver’, ‘Thoroughly Modern Millie’ (Won Best Production Wales & Ireland 2017) and ‘Summer Holiday’. Every class of ours has a dedicated pastoral assistant, who ensures the individual needs of each pupil is met.Īnd by the way…our theatre productions are award-winning!

Our staff and pupils are part of one big family who respect and look after eachother, and this ethos leads to a very happy and healthy atmosphere to learn in. The Performing Arts Academy offers exceptional teaching and facilities to our students so that each individual develops their full potential in their chosen. We will also showcase their talents and achievements in a variety of performances, for parents, grandparents friends and family to come and see what has been going on within the Academy.Our holistic approach to classes is second to none. The Academy offers Trinity, ABRSM, RAD and BTDA examinations for the children wanting to take them. Your child can take the classes that interest your them after all every child is unique!
If you want to take part in one discipline that’s fine, in the same way that doing a combination is as well. We offer a wide ranging performing arts education, from acting, musical theatre and singing to a number of different dance disciplines all as stand alone lessons. We want to offer children the chance to perform. Basic skills taught will be pre-tumbling, creative movement, rhythms and patterns and self-expression.

The life skills you can learn to help you could improve your self esteem, confidence, creativity, musicality, rhythm, team work, listening, working alone but most of all the ability to have fun and learn all at the same time. A fun and energetic class where students will learn musicality through foundational tap skills and how to let loose through Hip Hop. This doesn’t have to be within Performing Arts, but also within life. The Performing Arts Theatre Academy believe that there is a hidden star within every child which is willing to succeed. From there our family has grown and now with our own purpose built studios we are able to offer more and more to the students.
We opened using a church hall in Blandford offering just Musical Theatre, Acting and Singing. The Performing Arts Theatre Academy was established in 2014.
